Frequently Asked Questions about Parties
We understand there can be lots things to think about when organising a party. To help answer some of the questions you might have, we put together this handy FAQ list. Of course, if you have any additional question please do contact us directly and we will be happy to help.
Is my $50 deposit refundable if I cancel my booking?
In the event of a cancellation, your $50 deposit is refundable no later than 14 days from your party date.
Deposits can be transferred to another date and time provided it is within 30 days of original booking.
Can we bring our own birthday cake?
Absolutely! We have a special table reserved for birthday cakes in the party section so it will be safe from little hands (hopefully!).
Can we arrive a little early to set up our party decorations?
We generally ask you to arrive no more than 20 mins before your party to set up – this is to make sure we have enough time between parties for guests to leave without feeling rushed and for the centre to get cleaned. However, you’re welcome to contact us the week before your party to find out whether we can sneak you in a little earlier!
Can we bring any alcohol for parents?
Unfortunately, even though we’d love to say yes we cannot allow you to bring alcohol to your party as we are not licensed.
Can we bring our own food to the party?
Yes of course! We allow external food for both Venue Hire and Catered Parties – of course you will understand we accept no liability for any food related issues arising from parties where external food has been provided to guests.
Do you have Party Invitations?
Yes we do! We have a choice of blue or pink party invitations PDFs that you can download for free from our parties information page. All you need to do re-size them as you wish, and print out!
Can we decorate the party area and stick posters etc to the walls?
Yes. We allow you time before the party to set up, including decorating the party space as you would like and time permits. You are more than welcome to stick things to the walls however we just ask you only use Blue Tac and completely remove it when you are cleaning up.
Will parents be able to buy drinks and coffees in the cafe during the party?
Yes of course!! Our cafe is staffed for both Venue Hire and Catered Parties, and drinks are available at cafe prices. You are welcome to run a tab for drinks as well, and we can add this to the cost of the party – or, parents can purchase drinks themselves. It’s up to you – just let us know if you’d like to run a tab before your party starts!
How many people can Little Creatures accomodate?
We allow for a maximum of 24 children for our parties, and can accomodate an additional 30-35 adults comfortably in the play centre.
Can we use the oven and fridge?
Yes of course, you’re welcome to use the oven and fridge. Please note, for parties where you have opted for catering from Little Creatures the oven is likely to be used throughout so cooking any additional food may be an issue. Please check with us if you do plan to use the oven so we can ensure your party runs smoothly.
Can we come and check out the venue?
We would certainly advise you to come and check out our play centre before your party so you, and importantly the birthday boy/girl can familiarise yourselves with the venue. We are open Mon-Fri 9.30-4pm so please do pop in and say hello! If you’d like to visit on the weekend, please contact us to organise a time.
Is the play centre wheelchair accessible?
Yes it is. We are on ground level, and although there is a slight step up to the front door it is possible to gain access with a wheelchair.
Are there serving platters available for use?
We kindly advise you to bring all serving platters yourself – particularly for Venue Hire. For Catered Parties, we have some serving platters available however these may be required to serve Adult Platters.
